If you've just received your Class 7 Learner's licence and you've never sat behind the wheel of a moving car, that's exactly what we plan for. Our beginner curriculum is designed for people whose only driving experience is the ICBC knowledge test.
What your first lesson looks like
- Vehicle orientation (10 min) — pedals, mirrors, signals, gear selector, parking brake, dual-control system. We make sure you know what every control does before the car moves.
- Empty parking lot work (15 min) — slow forward and reverse driving, gentle steering, controlled braking. Building muscle memory before adding traffic.
- Quiet residential streets (30 min) — first turns, stop signs, lane positioning, basic intersection navigation. Speeds capped at 30–40 km/h.
- Debrief (5 min) — your instructor tells you what went well and what to focus on next. We don't rush back to the curb — feedback is part of the lesson.

How many lessons until you're road-test ready?
True beginners — those with zero driving experience — typically need 10–15 hours of professional instruction before the Class 7 road test, plus 60+ hours of supervised practice with a parent or other Class 5 driver. The 10-Class Package ($525) covers the professional portion at the best per-class rate.
