What a mock road test is
A mock road test is a 60-minute lesson run end-to-end as if it were the real ICBC road test. Your instructor takes the role of the examiner — issuing the same kinds of commands ("when safe, change to the left lane"), watching for the same skills (observation, control, speed, judgment), and scoring you against the actual ICBC grading rubric.
Why it works
- Removes the surprise. By the time you take the real test, you've already done one (or several) end-to-end runs. The format is familiar; the nerves are reduced.
- Identifies blind spots. The score sheet tells you exactly which categories you're weak in (observation, parking, speed, judgment) so the next lessons can be targeted.
- Familiarizes you with Abbotsford test routes. ICBC examiners don't pick random routes — they have a finite set they typically use. We practice on those.

When to schedule mock tests
The 10-Class Package ($525) typically includes a mock test toward the end of the curriculum. For students who book individual lessons, we recommend booking your first mock test 2–3 weeks before your real ICBC road test, then a second mock test 1 week before. That timing gives you space to address any flagged weaknesses without panic-cramming.
